Do you grind pre or post heat treat?
If you do your main bevel grinding after heat treat, I’ve designed the JigSink, an optional extra front plate that acts as a heatsink, providing a faster way of dispersing heat build-up. The JigSink is made from 10mm thick 6082 T6 aluminium, it fits on quickly and easily when required with just two bolts. The JigSink is ideal when working with post heat treated knives or small/thin gauge materials to greatly reduce the risk of ruining your temper...in both ways! |

Which size jig is right for me?
The smaller jig at 140mm/5.5-inch in length is best suited for folding or smaller knives (up to 7inch long).
The larger jig at 200mm/8-inch is better for larger, full tang and fixed blade knives (up to 12inch long).
